Bert has been working at Logius since February 2024, where he is committed to strengthening digital services such as DigiD for organizations with a public task, including healthcare. Prior to this, he held various strategic and operational roles at the Cadastre—where he also spoke in December 2023—and previously at Philips. He feels most at home at executive agencies, because from there he can deliver direct societal value. This responsibility sometimes requires extra attention, but it is precisely this dynamic and visibility that make his work meaningful and energizing for him.
The pressure on digital government continues to increase. Citizens expect smoothly functioning services like DigiD, consistent online experiences, and accessible interfaces. At the same time, there is a growing internal need to better share data, break down silos, and collaborate more efficiently. User-friendliness – both external and internal – thus becomes a strategic prerequisite for a future-proof digital government.
