In a world where technologies are developing at breakneck speed, it is a challenge for organizations to keep up. The Ministry of Justice and Security, with all its task organizations, is no exception. To strengthen the deployment of technologies such as AI within the ministry, under the leadership of Michel van Leeuwen, Director of Artificial Intelligence, a policy and project directorate has been set up and an AI strategy developed.
This strategy has been translated into a multi-year plan with clear objectives: stimulating and promoting AI applications, co-developing and implementing policies for ethically responsible AI, increasing training and awareness, and signaling potential incidents.
During this Vision Dinner, Michel will guide you through the AI strategy, the current status of implementation with concrete opportunities and application examples, and will discuss responsible AI and European regulations (EU AI Act). Michel’s presentation will be the prelude to a discussion about the challenges and opportunities of AI within a government context. We would like to cordially invite you to participate in this discussion and also share your own experiences, vision and challenges.
