More on the subject

During this Vision Dinner, Martijn van Baardwijk, CFO at Schiphol Lagardère, will share insights about the large-scale transformation currently taking place within Schiphol’s commercial division. After Schiphol’s acquisition of the former family interest, a new joint venture was established in 2024 with Lagardère, an international retail partner. This has initiated a complex integration of existing systems, processes and cultures into one efficient and future-proof organization.

With the first phase of the integration completed, the second phase begins in October, focused on new systems and ways of working. As CFO of the new group, Martijn faces the challenge of ensuring financial control, realizing cost synergies, stimulating culture change between both organizations and improving long-term performance, all while continuing to invest in the passenger experience and value per square meter.

During this dinner, Martijn will look back on the transformation journey so far and provide a behind-the-scenes look at a process that has also attracted media attention. After his presentation, Martijn looks forward to exchanging experiences with other participants about transformation, cultural change and the role of finance, particularly how to stay on course while remaining flexible. You are warmly welcome to join!
