More on the subject

Disruptions can no longer be captured in clear categories. Geopolitical uncertainty, cyber incidents, supplier dependency, AI-fueled disinformation, risks to employee safety, and increasing regulatory pressure are increasingly converging simultaneously. Although Security, Operations, Communication, Legal, and Finance each hold a piece of the puzzle, it often proves a challenge for organizations to bring these perspectives together quickly enough to make the right decisions with confidence.

On November 5, together with Jeroen van der Vaart, Director Group Security & Resilience at Booking.com, we will explore what organizational resilience truly means at the board level. Instead of viewing resilience as an investment in security, this meeting centers on the question of how resilience can evolve into a strategic organizational capability. A capability that enables directors and leaders to protect colleagues, customers, operations, revenue, and trust when pressure increases and available information is still incomplete.

During this exclusive Vision Dinner, Jeroen will share practical experiences from an operational environment where decisions are made under high pressure daily. Topics such as governance, escalation, intelligence, crisis management, and investments in resilience will be addressed. Together, we will discuss how organizations can better connect cybersecurity, physical security, business continuity, and intelligence to strengthen decision-making before a disruption escalates into a crisis.

Additionally, we will address questions such as: who ultimately takes responsibility for the trade-offs between customer impact, regulatory compliance, operational continuity, and employee safety? How do you create support for resilience at the board level? And how do you prepare multidisciplinary teams for the next crisis before it actually occurs?

Join this interactive discussion, exchange experiences with peers, and gain practical insights into how to build an organization that can make faster and better-informed decisions at the moments when it truly matters.
