About the Topic

On November 5, we explore what organisational resilience really means at board level with Jeroen van der Vaart, Director Group Security & Resilience at Booking.com. Rather than viewing resilience as a security investment, the discussion focuses on it as a business capability that enables leaders to protect colleagues, customers, operations, revenue and trust when pressure is rising and information is still incomplete.

More on the subject

Disruption no longer arrives in neat categories. Geopolitical uncertainty, cyber incidents, supplier dependency, AI-enabled misinformation, employee safety risks and regulatory pressure increasingly collide in the same decision window. While Security, Operations, Communications, Legal and Finance each have part of the picture, organisations often struggle to bring those perspectives together quickly enough to make confident decisions.

During this exclusive Vision Dinner, Jeroen will share practical experiences from a live operational environment, covering topics such as governance, escalation, intelligence, crisis management and resilience investments. Together, we will discuss how organisations can better connect cyber security, physical security, business continuity and intelligence to improve decision-making before disruption escalates.

The session will also explore questions such as: who owns the critical trade-offs between customer impact, regulatory obligations, operational continuity and employee safety? How do you create board-level sponsorship for resilience? And how do you prepare cross-functional teams before the next crisis puts them to the test?

Join this interactive discussion to exchange experiences with peers and gain practical insights into building an organisation that can make faster, better-informed decisions when it matters most.
