Paul Scholten is a seasoned executive in the financial sector, combining business experience in Banking and Payments with a strong background in IT, Operations, and Finance. Currently CEO of Buckaroo B.V. and a member of the Supervisory Board of ABN AMRO Hypotheken Groep and Ayvens Bank, he has led complex transformation projects, including IT migrations and organizational restructurings, and previously held senior roles such as COO at KBL Bank and Management positions at ABN AMRO Bank in The Netherlands and in Europe and Asia. Paul brings proven leadership in regulated financial environments.

Buckaroo was founded 20 years ago and was strengthened by a private equity partner in 2018. Since then, the company has grown to over 200 employees and has seen a sevenfold increase in revenue, driven by a clear buy-and-build strategy and an entrepreneurial mindset.
