Adriaan is Head of Data & AI at Schiphol, where he previously led the Data Foundation and its central data platform, data governance, and architecture. Before joining Schiphol, he was Head of Datamanagement at Aegon and held several leadership roles at Nationale-Nederlanden, including Head of Datamanagement & Analytics, Change Manager Finance & Data, and Senior Business Controller, building extensive expertise in data, analytics, and organizational transformation. A content- and results-driven leader, he thinks strategically and creates durable solutions in complex environments, enabling organizations to turn data into lasting business value.
At Schiphol, data is viewed as a strategic asset and a key driver behind the long-term ambition to have the airport operate increasingly autonomously. By placing data at the heart of decision-making, Schiphol aims to optimize operational processes, enhance safety, improve the passenger experience, and seize new opportunities through AI, automation, and advanced data analytics.
This transformation is led by Adriaan Dedel, Head of Data & AI at Schiphol.
