More on the subject

ABN AMRO has been on an exciting (Gen)AI journey for several years, moving from experimentation to real impact at scale. What started as individual use cases is now evolving into something much bigger: a bank-wide transformation powered by AI. In this session, you will hear directly from Hiek van der Scheer, Chief Data Officer at ABN AMRO, how this evolution is taking shape from the inside.

Today, the focus is on AI transformation and the embedding of AI into the heart of how the bank operates. Instead of launching ad hoc use cases, AI is becoming a core part of the strategy, shaping how products, services, and decisions are designed and delivered. This shift marks an important change: from “quick wins” and isolated pilots to a structured, strategic approach where AI is integrated into the bank’s way of working.

Hiek’s presentation sets the stage for a discussion about the challenges that come with the transformation in this AI driven organization: scaling responsibly, rethinking governance, implementation and being AI-ready as an organization. You are most welcome to join and to share your personal experiences and challenges!
