Fred Jekel has built an extensive career in IT, audit, and security. In 2008, he joined Van Lanschot Kempen, where he held various positions in Audit and IT Security. Ultimately, he was active there as Executive Director of Cyber Security. In October 2023, he moved to Eneco as Head of IT-Security, Risk & Compliance. Fred obtained an Executive MBA in Business & IT from Nyenrode Business University, where he focused on the interaction between people, processes, and technology within the context of security and consolidation issues.
