VP & Head of Logistics EMEIA
Danny van der Ster has been Vice President & Head of Logistics EMEIA at ASSA ABLOY since September 2023, where he has been with the company for nearly nine years. He is a supply chain professional with broad end-to-end responsibility that extends beyond logistics alone. His scope includes inventory management, planning, and order management, enabling him to contribute to the optimization of the full supply chain. In addition, Danny serves as Chair of the Global Supply Chain Board, where senior leaders from across divisions come together to ensure strategic alignment, select key suppliers and partners, and mitigate global supply chain risks. This includes responding to geopolitical disruptions, such as recent challenges affecting key trade routes like the Red Sea.
During an exclusive Vision Dinner on September 22, Danny van der Ster, VP & Head of Logistics EMEIA at ASSA ABLOY, will share how one of the world’s leading industrial groups is transforming its supply chain in a highly dynamic, acquisition-driven environment. With 1.5 to 2 acquisitions per month, the organization continuously integrates new operations, systems, and processes into an already complex landscape.
Danny will discuss how his team turns this complexity into a strategic advantage by positioning supply chain as an enabler of growth rather than a constraint. In a confidential setting under the Chatham House Rule, he will reflect on the practical challenges of managing and scaling supply chain operations across 59 ERP systems, balancing global standardization with local agility, and building resilience in times of geopolitical uncertainty. He will also share insights into where digital transformation and AI create real value, and where they fall short without sustained adoption.
Following the keynote, a moderated roundtable discussion will offer participants the opportunity to exchange perspectives on supply chain transformation, digitalization, and operational resilience with peers from across sectors.
