Prof. Alain Aspect is a physicist renowned for his groundbreaking experiments on the foundations of quantum mechanics. He is a professor at the Institut d’Optique – Université Paris-Saclay and at the École Polytechnique, as well as a member of the French Académie des Sciences. In 2022, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics, alongside John Clauser and Anton Zeilinger, for their experiments confirming the violation of Bell’s inequalities—a key result in quantum theory. Professor Aspect’s work has profoundly influenced our understanding of quantum entanglement and continues to shape the future of quantum technologies.
