More on the subject

In a world that is changing ever faster due to technological innovations, social dynamics and geopolitical uncertainty, the question arises as to how companies and regions can strengthen their strategic position. Traditional methods within separate ‘silos’ often offer insufficient support for sustainable growth. It is becoming increasingly clear that economic resilience and future-proofing stem from strong ecosystems: networks in which entrepreneurship, knowledge, innovation and companies actively reinforce each other.

Such ecosystems not only accelerate innovation and productivity, but also create the ability to jointly create value and meet complex challenges. This raises the following questions: where do ecosystems often fail and what are the conditions for success? Systems thinking is becoming increasingly essential for companies, but what does this require of leadership?

During this Visionary Circle, Barbara Baarsma, chief economist at PwC Netherlands and professor of Applied Economics at the University of Amsterdam, will discuss the strategic role of economic ecosystems, the importance of regional partnerships, and the influence of key players such as universities and innovative companies.

We cordially invite you to this small-scale, interactive dialogue, in which you can reflect and discuss the future of strong economic ecosystems with Barbara and other senior executives.
