More on the subject

The world of data and IT is changing rapidly. That is why within De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB), not only IT specialists, but also the business itself is increasingly building digital solutions (Build-By-Business, 3B), such as dashboards, analyses and applications. This flexibility helps to perform (legal) tasks faster and better, but also brings new risks. How does DNB ensure that these solutions are safe, robust and future-proof, without slowing down innovation?

During this dinner, Wiebe Oechies, Head of Data Services, and Malka de Castro Campos, Head of Institutional Investors and Register of De Nederlandsche Bank, will guide you through the what and why of the 3B Policy. You will hear why the policy was created, what it entails, and what it asks and delivers for employees and managers. More specifically:

  • The reason: Why was the 3B Policy necessary? What are 3B solutions and why are they important to DNB?
  • The core of the policy: What are the rules and guidelines for developing and managing 3B solutions? How does the policy help to manage risks without slowing down innovation?
  • The practical interpretation: What types of 3B solutions do we distinguish? What roles and responsibilities are involved? How does the 3B register work and how do we share experiences?
  • The platforms with which we support it: How do the 3B Platforms ensure that 3B Developers can get started responsibly and how do we monitor usage?
  • The benefits: In what way does it contribute to the data strategy and a future-proof organisation? How does the policy support employees in practice?

Are you interested in DNB’s approach, why it is relevant and how you can get started with it yourself? Then sign up for this Vision Dinner on March 5 and, following DNB’s presentation, discuss this topic with Wiebe, Malka and fellow professionals.
