About the Topic

During this Vision Dinner, Eric de Jongh, Head of Business Technology, will use TenneT’s digital transformation as the starting point for an open dialogue. He is particularly interested in how other organisations realise cultural and operational change in risk-averse environments, and how they securely integrate IT and OT at scale.

This Vision Dinner is organised in collaboration with Eraneos. Aiming at sparking dialogue, Eraneos will explore strategic gaps, IT/OT integration risks and cultural & talent barriers. There is a lot at stake. Decarbonisation, electrification, digitization – AI and the rise and impact of data centers – and the resilience of modern society all depend on TenneT’s capability to deliver. We look forward to a trusted (Chatham house rules) dialogue between TenneT, Eraneos and our evening guests!

Throughout his career, he has worked in roles where the ability to translate technology into dependable outcomes was fundamental. He has extensive experience leading complex organisational and technical transformations and is known for his strategic vision, collaborative leadership and ability to deliver results across large, multidisciplinary teams. More on the subject

TenneT operates at the center of a society that is electrifying at tremendous speed. The way electricity is generated, used and returned to the grid is diversifying rapidly, creating a structural increase in system complexity. The future requirements of the energy system are exponential in scale, while the reality in which we must deliver them is linear in people, materials and time. In solving this challenge, digitalization is the strategic enabler that allows TenneT to design, build and maintain a future-proof grid with scale, reliability and predictability. There is a lot at stake. Decarbonisation, electrification and the resilience of modern society all depend on TenneT’s capability to deliver.

As Head of Business Technology, Eric de Jongh shapes and delivers TenneT’s digital strategy with a clear mandate: enable the organisation to design, build, operate and maintain the energy system of the future. This allows the business to accelerate customer connections, reduce lead times and safeguard security of supply. During this Vision Dinner, Eric will use TenneT’s digital transformation as the starting point for an open dialogue. He is particularly interested in how other organisations realise cultural and operational change in risk-averse environments, and how they securely integrate IT and OT at scale.

If you are interested in Eric’s approach and if you wish to enter into conversation with him and fellow IT Leaders, then please join us on the 10th of March!
